Refund Policy
Our 30-day money-back guarantee, what qualifies, and how to request a refund. No phone trees, no fine print traps.

The short version
- Unused report credits: refundable for 30 days from purchase, no questions asked.
- Used reports: refundable within 30 days if the report failed to deliver, was materially incomplete, or contained the wrong VIN due to our error.
- Memberships:cancel any time. We refund the most recent billing period in full if you haven’t used any reports in that period.
- How to request: email support@vinverify.example with the order number or the VIN. Most refunds are processed within 2 business days.
1. Bundle credits
You may request a full refund on any unused report credits within 30 days of purchase by emailing us. If some credits have been used, we’ll refund the pro-rata price of the unused credits at the bundle rate you paid.
Bundle credits do not expire. If you don’t use them within 30 days, they stay in your account, but we can no longer refund them after that window.
2. Single reports
Single reports are refundable within 30 days of purchase if any of the following are true:
- The report did not deliver successfully due to a technical problem on our end.
- The VIN you entered was incorrect and the report failed to generate. Re-runs on the correct VIN are free in this case.
- The report was materially incomplete, for example, a known record returned blank, and we cannot re-issue a corrected report.
We do not issue refunds simply because a report did not contain the records you expected to find. Vehicle history reports aggregate from authoritative sources, and an absence of records is itself a result.
3. Memberships
Memberships renew automatically each billing cycle. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing support; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
If you cancel within 7 days of a renewal and have not used any reports in the current billing period, we’ll refund that period in full. Beyond 7 days, or if you’ve used at least one report in the current period, we do not pro-rate refunds.
4. How to request a refund
- Email support@vinverify.example.
- Include your order number or the email on your account, plus the VIN(s) involved if relevant.
- Tell us briefly what happened so we can fix the underlying issue.
We respond to every refund request within one business day and process approved refunds within two business days. Refunds appear on the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
5. Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback. Most disputes are caused by misunderstandings we can resolve directly, and chargebacks lock the disputed amount for weeks while the bank investigates. We may suspend the account associated with a fraudulent chargeback.
